Shipping policy

Everything we make is built to order in our Chattanooga workshop, so the timings below start from the day you order rather than the day we pack.

Processing and lead times

Large pieces, including dining tables, desks and kitchen islands, currently take around two to three months to build. Everything else, including end tables, shelves and smaller table tops, takes one to four weeks. Transit adds roughly five days on top.

Those figures reflect our order book rather than the build itself. We are a three-person shop, so your piece starts when the pieces ahead of it are finished. Finishing alone accounts for 48 hours we will not rush, because a hardwax oil applied in a hurry goes on blotchy.

Rush orders are sometimes possible. If you have a date you need to hit, ask us before ordering and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.

Shipping costs

Shipping is included in the price of anything listed for sale on this site, for delivery within the contiguous United States. The price at checkout is the price you pay.

Custom pieces are quoted separately, because the cost depends on the size of the piece and where it is going. Your quote will state the shipping cost before you commit to anything.

Deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada and international destinations carry a surcharge.

Where we ship

Anywhere in the United States, and to Canada and international destinations with a surcharge. We have delivered as far as England.

How your piece is packed

We build every crate ourselves, from plywood, around the piece. Nothing relies on a carrier's own packaging.

Shelves ship in a padded envelope, or boxed if you order two or more. Mounting hardware is not included, so have your brackets and fixings ready before the shelf arrives.

End tables and smaller pieces ship assembled wherever the piece allows. Where that is impractical, the base ships separately with the hardware needed to attach it, and we will tell you which before it leaves us.

Delivery and tracking

Smaller pieces ship by parcel carrier, and you will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order is on its way.

Anything over 100lbs or longer than 48 inches travels by freight. We will contact you before it ships to arrange a delivery window, so you will know when to expect it rather than finding a pallet on your drive unannounced. Freight deliveries include lift gate service, which means the crate is lowered from the truck to ground level rather than left for you to unload.

Delivery is to your driveway. The carrier will not bring the piece into the house, up steps or around the back, and there is no assembly or installation service. A dining table top is heavy and awkward for one person, so arrange a second pair of hands for the day.

Once a piece has been collected by the carrier, the delivery timetable is theirs rather than ours. We will help you chase anything that goes astray, but we cannot control delays in transit.

Local pickup

If you are near Chattanooga, choose local pickup at checkout and collect your piece with no shipping cost. We will be in touch to arrange a time once it is ready.

When your piece arrives

Inspect it before you move it or unpack it fully. If anything is damaged in transit, get in touch through our contact form within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs of the piece and the packaging, and keep the packaging until the matter is settled.
