Built one piece at a time
We are a small shop. Every table, shelf and top that leaves here was cut, joined and finished by the same few pairs of hands, and none of it exists before someone orders it.
We work in twelve hardwoods, from walnut and white oak through to padauk and purple heart. Most of it comes from FSC-certified suppliers with a traced chain of custody, and some of it is timber we source and mill ourselves. Tops are edge-glued from boards chosen so the grain runs in balance across the finished surface. Bases are mortise and tenon. Everything is finished in a hardwax oil that leaves the grain visible and can be repaired in place decades from now, rather than a film that has to be stripped when it wears.
Because we build to order, nothing is a compromise between what you wanted and what was in the warehouse. Send us your room dimensions and we will build to them. For custom pieces we send a render before anything is cut, so you see the piece before it exists.
We also build the crates. Every large piece ships in a plywood crate made here, around the piece, which is why one of our dining tables has made it as far as England intact.
